SoloEtte SONGBIRD Nylon Hybrid

Here is the fantastic, all new, US made SoloEtte Songbird Hybrid guitar, a nylon strung instrument with a contemporary 46 mm nut and a gentle 16 inch radius along the fingerboard. A feature which actually continues along the entire body.

This is certainly guitar with its very own unique look and stunning styling.

The Songbird offers its owners something quite different and it will appeal to the steel acoustic style player, offering a familiar format but with all the warmth and mellowness of a great nylon strung instrument. SoloEtte CLASSICAL Maple

This American handmade SoloEtte Classical guitar is designed to provide the details and authenticity required by the practicing classical guitarist so you will find that there are exactly 19 frets, no side dot markers, a scale length of 25 ½ inches (647.7mm), a nut width of 52mm ( 2.05 inches) and the string spacing at the saddle is 57mm (2 ¼ inches) and the action comes set to the proper classical string height and is adjustable.

There is nothing small or hybrid about the neck. It is the full standard classical guitar neck and with the frame attached, the SoloEtte body simulates the full size Torres classic guitar shape in your lap and it balances beautifully.

The medium size frame piece, which supports your right arm, is the edge outline of your guitar and you can rest the weight of your arm on it so your fingertips will hover over the strings right where you would expect. The smaller frame piece in the upper left bout tilts back and affects the depth of the guitar. This is a great feature that pushes the guitar forward a bit so it will lie in the proper plane and not lay back on your chest or point at the ceiling.

You do not need to use a guitar strap and the head does not swing down toward the floor every time you let go of the neck, like some other travel guitars and because the tuners are at the “other end”, this guitar is 5 inches shorter than “normal”. This reorientation of the tuners also helps to create balance and offers superior tuning access.

An integrated stereo pre-amp will drive headphones and a standard guitar amplifier or p.a. system, in either mono or stereo.

The guitar is complemented by a custom made soft but durable carry case that provides great but practical protection when travelling.

Shown here is the hard rock maple version which provides a truly contemporary look. This wood has a sleek and glassy feel to both neck and fingerboard and the one piece design allows the wood grain to be fully appreciated and it will be finished superbly.

The unique pickup system uses stereo microphones which react to the movement of air caused by the string vibration inside the special hollow saddle which produces a rounder and fuller sound than more typical piezo style pickups. An integrated stereo pre-amp will drive headphones and a standard guitar amplifier or p.a. system, in either mono or stereo.

Finally, the lightweight, compact and practical SoloEtte is complemented by a custom made soft carry case to ensure great but practical protection when travelling.

Here we see the warmth and colour offered by the Indian Padauk tone wood which offers a more traditional look with its dark fingerboard and body. Again, the one piece design of the instrument neck and body allows you to fully appreciate the character and grain of this fabulous wood which will be finished superbly.

SINSONIDO AS100C-SPL Nylon Hybrid

The Sinsonido AS100C/SPL (special) really is rather, well, special.

So, whilst this Sinsonido shares all the benefits of the other models in the range (integrated headphone amp, light weight, compact dimensions, adjustable height bridge ...) it also features a hybrid contemporary neck width of 46mm with a radiused fingerboard and a cutaway frame which makes access to the higher frets much easier than on a "classical" nylon guitar.

So here we have an electric guitar which performs just like an acoustic nylon instrument and it really will please all discerning players regardless of their standard.

Steel string guitarists will find the layout very familiar but this guitar brings with it the warmth and tone that only a nylon guitar can offer and this is even more so here thanks the special Wright Technologies stereo pick-up system installed.

SINSONIDO AS100C Classical

All Aria Sinsonido guitars share an original concept and stunning looks and the new style AS100C is perfectly suited for use as a travel guitar, or for performance and of course, for private practice, courtesy of its integrated headphone pre-amp.

As you would expect, the nylon strung AS-100C also features a flat finger board, 19 fret neck and a nut width of 52mm, as favoured by many classical guitarists. The AS-100C also faithfully follows the form of the Torres guitar and its size, comfort and balance were carefully considered to ensure the classical player would feel immediately “at home”. The 3 piece removable frame features a back tilted upper bout to help better position the guitar with respect to the classical players own body.

The mahogany body with bolt on neck is light and the removable rubber foam covered frame provides great comfort plus ease of travel and storage.

The special stereo condenser microphone pick-up, made by Wright Guitar Technology in the U.S., produces remarkable tones when compared to many commonly used piezo units. In fact the secret of the natural acoustic sound lies in the innovative pick-up with its two internal condenser microphones. These sense air movement caused by the string vibrations in stereo and thus are able to produce the more natural, 3-dimensional sounds of a fully acoustic guitar. Oh yes, the action is easily height adjustable too, courtesy of two integrated thumbwheels in the bridge assembly.

This guitar comes complete with a good quality, velvet lined, custom black gig-bag together with folding headphones.

Traveler ULTRA LIGHT - NYLON

The practising classical style guitarist needs to work hard to maintain their technique and travelling can often get in the way.

The Traveler Ultra-Light NYLON offers a great solution in what many will consider a very unconventional format.

Unconventional maybe, but extremely practical and good fun certainly.

The Ultra Light is both extremely compact and light so it can easily travel in your luggage or on your shoulder. Tough, sturdy and simple it is also a familiar and practical guitar and features a full 24 ¾ inch scale yet it weighs less than 2Kg (3 lbs) and it is also less than 28 inches long.

The guitar has an acoustic piezo pickup, a light-weight detachable lap rest frame, and a good quality carry bag. Some players may wish to wear a strap whilst seated to help find the perfect position with the small body and the guitar also has two strap pins to aid this.

Plug it into an amp for performance or take along a pocket headphone amplifier or effects processor to practice anywhere without disturbing others.
