The very latest addition to the Traveler range is the Escape EG1 in mahogany but with a glorious Sunburst Gloss finish.

Like all EG1 models this is a very sophisticated full-scale electric travel guitar but this time featuring a vintage soapbar pickup fed into an onboard Pocket Rock-it headphone amp, with clean and distortion settings.

The EG1’s onboard electronics include a 1/8” AUX IN jack so players can jam along with tracks from an mp3 or CD player. At the same time the Escape EG1 boasts more traditional guitar features such as a strong, resonant African Mahogany body and bolt-on neck with an ebonized rosewood fretboard. 

The headless design dramatically shortens the guitar and the tuners are found recessed in the body where they are brilliantly protected from the inevitable knocks and bangs they can occur whilst out and about.

Add in a full 25-1/2 inch scale and 22 jumbo frets and you’ll forget you’re playing a travel guitar!

The EG1, in African Mahogany, shares all the great features of its Alder bodied cousin but this wood, used on both the body and neck, makes the guitar significantly lighter in weight whilst the satin finish gives the guitar a beautiful and very different look which is also more tolerant and forgiving if knocked.

The fully-loaded and full scale Escape EG-1 is most certainly a top quality guitar for the electric purist but packaged in this innovative design it is both very lightweight and surprisingly compact and comfortable. It comes ready to play and ready to travel.

The Pocket Rock-It pre-amp provides for lovely full and warm or it can be switched to a rich hi-gain setting when it can really scream. Both settings are available on headphones or external amp.

Introduced in 2003, the original Traveler Escape is now a well proven guitar that was designed with the acoustic player in mind. Built with a mahogany satin stained alder body and a maple bolt on neck featuring a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and full 25 1/2 inch scale. 

This Escape is simply perfect when travelling but it is also supremely comfortable and playable in any situation. Yes, even on stage.

The Escape is only 29 inches long and weighs barely four pounds and is equipped with a custom Shadow pickup, headphone amp and two channel EQ so you can also plug headphones directly into the body for private practice. 

Whether plugged into a PA, an acoustic amplifier or just headphones you will find that the Original Escape has a most remarkable range and tone and it is perfectly at home, alone in a hotel room or on stage, with the band.

This guitar will come with a custom tailored gig-bag and headphones.

Sorry, we are again fully sold out of this model. 

Unfortunately we have not been given a reliable delivery date so we prefer not to accept any further orders for this model until we know when they will now arrive.

In the mean time and if your need is urgent we can happily recommend the Traveler Escape MKII which is a superb guitar, but a little more expensive of course. This model is still available from stock.

The Traveler Ultra Light is another, even smaller, but less expensive alternative which can be teamed up with an external headphone amplifier.  

The Pro Series is the final development of the original Traveler Guitar, fully loaded and with a full 24 3/4 inch scale. The design of the Pro Series has stood the test of time and it is a unique and completely reliable companion for the travelling guitarist. Certainly it is one of the smallest, full-scale travel guitars on the market and by far the most versatile.

Featuring a detachable lap-rest and private listening Stethophone which allows players to hear themselves using the same physics as a doctor's stethoscope, which also means it's battery free, a major bonus in some parts of the world!

This guitar boasts both an acoustic style piezo and a custom electric single coil pick-up so the Pro Series can be any guitar you want it to be, pleasing to the electric purist and the more traditional acoustic player too. A real Jekyll and Hyde of a guitar one could say!

It weighs less than four pounds and is a mere 28 inches in length and packs up to just over 5 inches wide when the lap rest is rotated into the stowed position, ready to travel.

The Traveler Ultra-Light NYLON offers a great solution in what many will consider a very unconventional format.

Unconventional maybe, but extremely practical and good fun certainly. 

The Ultra Light is both extremely compact and light so it can easily travel in your luggage or on your shoulder. Tough, sturdy and simple it is also a familiar and practical guitar and features a full 24 ¾ inch scale yet it weighs less than 2Kg (3 lbs) and it is also less than 28 inches long. 

The guitar has an acoustic piezo pickup, a light-weight detachable lap rest frame, and a good quality carry bag. Some players may wish to wear a strap whilst seated to help find the perfect position with the small body and the guitar also has two strap pins to aid this.
