Delivery and Carriage Information

We arrange deliveries every day of the week, right across the UK, Europe, Scandinavia and the rest of the World.

Like you, we are very aware of the increasing costs of delivery services and we work hard to negotiate the very best rates with our suppliers to try to keep these costs to a minimum without compromising on the quality and reliability of the services provided.

All delivery services are provided at or below cost and we never add anything extra to these prices (except for VAT in the UK unfortunately). We can usually arrange for delivery to your work address if this is more convenient but home/billing addresses are also required for validation and security.

For delivery within the UK, most guitars and large items will cost from just £7.90 via the Yodel next day Express service but where available we also provide alternate services and costs.

Some smaller items can be sent at lower cost using Royal Mail national and airmail services but these are not tracked. However, proof of posting is always retained.

All guitars and larger items will be very carefully checked, packed and dispatched rapidly, often the same day. All instrument deliveries are tracked and insured and we will also email you all the tracking data so you can also keep an eye on progress yourself. We will always try and arrange next day delivery wherever possible but please tell us if you want a delayed delivery or if you have any special requirements.

In the UK we use Yodel Express or Parcel Force Express Services and sometimes the Royal Mail standard parcel service and/or ParcelForce can be offerered where it provides a cost effective solution, even if it is a little slower.

Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and the Channle Islands incur extra charges from most carriers but we will present you with a choice wherever possible.

Please select the correct destination and preferred service at the checkout stage. You can obtain a quick delivery charge estimate by adding a product to the basket and then selecting your UK delivery post code or destination country and without being required to enter any other customer details.

In Europe we prefer to use DHL Air Express which provides a 24 hour delivery to many European cities and deliveries rarely take longer than 2 or 3 days. All deliveries are tracked and fully insured.

Within the EU only - we may be able to offer a lower cost and slower road service – this is suitable for larger or heavier deliveries where the preferred Air Express may not be so economic.

Elsewhere in the World we will most often use DHL Air Express.

We consolidate delivery of multiple items whenever possible to reduce delivery costs. We will always try and ship all ordered items within the one package and consolidate the costs of shipping. For some unusual sizes, shapes or weights this is not always possible and we may need to contact you to discuss the best methods and costs. This is particularly true when shipping by Air Express.

Packaging will often be a mix of new and reused materials. This keeps down costs and helps to minimise waste.

Smaller items are most effectively delivered by the UK Royal Mail service. We always obtain Proof of Postage with all items dispatched in this way and some will require a signature on receipt but they are not normally tracked unless this is requested.

Customs Charges are always the responsibility of the customer. All goods sent outside the EU/EEC will be supplied with all the necessary paperwork and commercial invoices stating the full value of the goods shipped.

Telephone Numbers are essential to ensure that the local delivery service can contact you directly to assist with the final delivery of your order. We cannot ship outside the UK without a contact number.  

Friday dispatch of guitars within the UK should be avoided whenever possible. We will normally defer Friday dispatch until the following Monday so as to avoid your instrument spending the weekend in a depot or delivery van where it risks unnecessary damage from handling and heat and cold. Please contact us if you really do want us to dispatch on a Friday and we will of course be pleased to do that for you.

Saturday deliveries can be arranged for some UK addresses at extra cost and can be selected at the checkout where available.

Before NOON and before 10.00 delivery is also possible in many UK locations - this option will be shown where available.

British Forces: Pleases contact us to discuss the best delivery method to suit you.

We will not normally deliver to Hotels, student accommodation or PO BOX numbers unless we have spoken and agreed how to ensure proper proof of receipt of the delivery. These services are not impossible but we do need to take more care.
